Alt-rock favourites The Rubens are bringing their 10th anniversary celebrations of their breakthrough, gold-certified album Hoops to Hotel Brunswick.
Originally released in 2015, Hoops marked a turning point for the band—catapulting them from promising newcomers to one of Australia’s most beloved live acts. The album spawned hit singles including the title track “Hoops”, which famously took out the #1 spot in triple j’s Hottest 100, and laid the foundation for a career that has seen them headline major venues and festivals around the country.
This special show will see The Rubens dig back into the Hoops era, playing a selection of fan favourites from the record—woven throughout a career-spanning setlist that showcases their evolution across five acclaimed albums. It’s a rare chance to experience the energy of Hoops live in an intimate setting, as the band reflect on where they’ve been and tease what’s to come.
